Two guards guarding the entrance to Lord British's castle.
A Non Player Character, or short NPC, is a humanoid character controlled by the server instead of a player. There are several NPCs, most of them peaceful and located in villages. Yet there are also wandering NPCs, like the wandering healers and aggressive NPCs, like the evil mages, mainly located in dungeons.
