Nightmares are favored for their ease of transport. They are stronger than drakes, but weaker than dragons, and can be ridden. As mounts, they have more stamina than horses do, but not as much as the frenzied ostards. On UOSA they spawn in 4 different shades: dark short maned, light short maned, dark long maned ("pure mares") and light long maned. A pure nightmare is shown in the picture above.
