'''Trammel''' was a [[facet]] added to UO in early 2000. This facet was essentially a carbon copy of the original facet, which was dubbed, "[[Felucca]]," in order to distinguish the two. Trammel disabled [[PvP]] and all negative actions against other players. It is often regarded as the "death" of UO. This may explain why trammel gave birth to the colloquial term, "trammie." The term, "trammie," is used to refer to anyone who prefers not to engage in PvP, or put themselves at risk at all, and instead prefers to seek items and riches.

The '''Rubberband Effect''' occurs when a player tries to run over an impassable item that exists on the server but not on the client. The client thinks there is no item to block the player, so for a split second the client allows the player to walk onto the tile. Once the client realizes that the server won't allow this, the player is instantly bounced back to their original location. The visual it produces is analogous to a rubberband snapping.
